Octagon CoreShelter - Emergency shelter solutions and refugee accommodation
Constructed using ReBUS technology (Reinforced Building Units System), CoreShelter offers a fast, efficient and cost effective solution for shelter, security and survival.
CoreShelter addresses several aspects of one of the most challenging aspects of global poverty; the need for secure shelter for refugees and those made homeless by natural disasters.
CoreShelter is supplied as packing cases for use in relief logistics for goods and emergency equipment as part of the rapid response to disasters and offers shelter for up to twenty people as part of the first response solution. The CoreShelter can also provide accommodation for field staff or storage for medical supplies and other field facilities.

CoreShelter units are shipped as containers, used to transport food, tents, medical and other emergency supplies. Two CoreShelters containing 36m3 of goods are packed in one 40ft container, for minimum local assembly. |
| Each set of 4 containers holds up to 18m3 of goods. | ![]() |

When empty, four containers are grouped together to form a secure shelter that can easily be relocated. |
| The container doors are used to form the roof. | ![]() |

CoreShelter units are made using environmentally friendly technology; the construction panels are made from low-grade timber board. |
The tented fabric is stretched over beams, supported by columns; this precludes the need for guy ropes and associated problems. |

Tented extensions are added, giving a total floor space of 70m2 for twenty people. |
